Title: Modifying posts
Post by: Noreen on Nov 19, 2007, 12:44:45
This morning when posting in the IDNatter forum I wanted to modify one of my posts almost immediately after posting it. The post contained a quote and when I clicked the modify button the only item that came up to modify was the quote not my post, so I was unable to modify it. Is there an explanation?

there probably is Noreen.

but its probaby highly technical and would take up 6 pages of in depth, detailed tecnhnical explanation with diagram, flow charts, pie charts and other charts.

in layman terms its broke.  ;D

Not that I can think of, Noreen. Which post was it, I'll take a look and see if there's anything unusual about it.

Post 25, Rik. I'm going to see if it happens to this one.

edit: didn't happen, it must have been my mistake, sorry Rik. It was the thread about the cinema.

If I open up the post, I can edit the text or quote, Noreen. I'm not really sure what might have happened - could you have hit the quote button by mistake? I've done that a few times and wondered where half the message has gone.
