Post by: Noreen on Nov 04, 2007, 09:52:07
Where do people get all those wonderful smileys posted recently and how are they used?

Hi Noreen,

Mine are from a Firefox add-on, I cannot for the life of me remember where or how I added it tho', one of the site " geeks " will no doubt tell you more. ;)

Hi Noreen

The Firefox addon that In is referring to is here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/375

I also use the BestSmileys website:

http://www.bestsmileys.com/pageindex.htm

Plus our own set, the sticky that Jillian is referring to.

HTH

It's worth noting with Smiley Xtra that it requires updating via the Tools > Add-ons menu, but can be set in these options to auto update.  (http://pc-pals.com/pics/smileys/smiley.gif)

I just explored via google and thought the best one is the one that Rik said http://www.bestsmileys.com/pageindex.htm
which gives the link that you need for the post so it's a simple copy and paste job.

Thanks for your replies. I did know about the "sticky smileys" and I don't use Firefox. Ann's link gives a page of more links so I'm still not sure about this. I don't really know whether smileys can be dangerous so are any smileys from any of those links safe to use?

The BestSmileys site is perfectly safe, Noreen. :)

Here, they start in October and run though to the following October - with the occasional peak, like November, December, January...  :'(
