Title: Billing errors
Post by: old Bill on Oct 28, 2007, 11:11:31
It must be the season of billing errors. Have just found out that BT have being charging me for the last year for a BB service which I did not have (wondered why the phone bill was allways so high). Have also just had a invoice from Idnet for a new years payment. Do I just ignore this as I do not have a BB service with Idnet at the moment ?

I'd contact them, Bill. If the system thinks the account is live, it will only keep generating reminders.

This shows why Idnet are still the best. Have just spoken to Tim about the invoice sent out last week. It was sorted out with out a problem but the best thing is that he knew who I was even with out me having to tell him. How many ISPs know what their customers are called let alone know the name of a customer who left 6 months before hand.

I am desperately trying to get a friend to bin Poopex and come over to IDNet.  The stupid part is, he has absolutely no patience with computers, and just wants everything to work, so as soon as I mention contacting Pipex for a MAC code, he's immediately dismissive as it would be "too much hassle".  What can you do?  ::)

Nothing, Simon. Sometimes we just have to stand back and let them find out the hard way. :(

I was in a similar situation Simon, my friends left a Virgin BB area, so need a BT solution, I advised IDNet, they went to BT, now all they do is moan about it...tough. ;)

I wouldn't mind, but even the incentive of a free month and the referral bonus didn't budge him!  Oh well, I guess sometimes you just have to know when to quit.  ::)
