A new version of Adobe reader 8.1 has been released to close a critical flaw, 8.1.1 can be downloaded here: http://www.adobe.com/uk/products/acrobat/readstep2.html
I still prefer Foxit. Get it HERE. (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/)
New version 2.2 now available free, and Vista compatible.
The download size of Foxit Reader is only 2.1 M which is a fraction of Acrobat Reader 20 M size.
;)
Size isn't everything :D ;)
As the sailor said ............ :o

I always thought it was the bishop?? :)
Or the actress ;)
It's all a matter of viewpoint, I guess. ;)
It started out as 'Bishop', but I didn't want to be accused of bashing him. ::) :P
:evilb:
Bishop-bashing, Mo. This sounds like a new sport - tell me the rules. :)

Bashing your Bishop is a popular pastime, particularly among adolescents. No rules as far as I know. No holds barred!! But over-indulging can cause blindness I believe. :D
>:D
Oh, that Bishop. There was me thinking all clerical...
::)
;D
Before it gets subsumed, I'd like to also suggest using Foxit free pdf reader instead of the bloated Adobe equivalent.
Side-by-side, the difference in speed is actually quite astonishing when a pdf link is clicked.
The only caveat is that I currently use v2.0.2006.930 which is a standalone non-install version.
Personal view only, but unless you use pdf files to view intricate and/or technical graphic files, then there really isn't any point in installing Adobe Reader.
I just really hate bloatware.
