Well have left the F2S ship and joined up.
I was hoping to get my free month, but I think I've missed out because I've been charged straight away. OK, there is an option to pay for 11 months and get the 12th free, but I thought the offer was for a free month to start with. And I don't want a 12 month contract.
Well I should be migrated on Friday, so we'll see what happens.
The free month is still showing on the web site. Give them a ring, I'm sure it will be sorted out for you. :)

It appears you MUST click through the free offer banner at the top of the page. If you browse the packages then order it doesn't give you the free month automatically. However one (free) phone call and my card has been immediately refunded! Excellent service.

I know just what you mean, Nick. I left Nildram to avoid the Pipex influence (the most arrogant ISP I have ever had the fortune to be a customer of, and that was in dial-up days). When I mentally combined Pipex and Tiscali, I gave myself nightmares. :o

TBH when pipex took over F2S it was a shambles, but some of that was the fault of the old F2s management. The past 10 months have been pretty good - no major problems.
I have to admit, my actual internet connection with Pipex was never at fault, although speed could have been better. My problem was they changed their T&Cs without bothering to inform their customers, examples being, port blocking for P2P networks, which they initially denied, and the new cancellation terms, which meant that if a user wanted to cancel a contract within the 12 month minimum term, not only were they charged a £58.75 cancellation fee, but they also now have to pay the remaining monthly fees up to the 12 months. Failing to inform customers of major changes like these, and to expect users to check on the website themselves, is clearly bad practice, in my opinion, and the Piscali deal just put the final nail in the coffin for me.
My pipex homecall (Tiscali) connection only really worked as broadband between about 11pm and 8am, when I'm sleeping, I have clocked speeds of over 700 on p2p, but at evening cant get above 20 - 30.
The untimate insult from them now is 2 weeks after the end of my contract and getting a MAC, they send me a letter complaining about "fair usage policy" on UNLIMITED BROADBAND!! and offer me a MAC to cancel my contract FOC, why not 6 months ago.
Still anyone trying to get out of a contract with them, my advise if download anything and everything.

This was a common way of trying to get out of Tiscali contracts a year ago!
