Title: DLink DSL-G604T
Post by: HowardC on Jul 31, 2006, 09:58:10
Hi,

Before I place my order with IDNet - does anyone use or know if DLink's DSL G604T router is compatible with the ADSL Max service?

I have seen a few routers now being advertised as being ADSL2/2+ compatible and as my router doesn't state this explicitly I need to know if I need to spend more cash etc.  The router certainly runs at up to 8Mbps..........

Any guidnace would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

HowardC

I used this router with Ace ADSL Max so yes, it's compatible, though I changed the router because I didn't like its performance and stablity,. :)

Richdog,

Thanks for that - I am now curious - what did you change the router to and has it been worthwhile?

Changed to the router in my sig and it seems to hold the connection better, as well as having no high-pitched "whine" like the D-Link had.:)

This router is indeed ADSL2/2+ compatible though you may need to upgrade the firmware. Check out this (http://www.expansys.com/forumthread.asp?code=110551&thread=519) forum which seems to have all the answers you need ... and more :)
