Title: Logitech Laser Mice
Post by: Najarak on Sep 19, 2007, 17:07:51
Does anyone here use a Logitech laser mouse ? I have just bought an MX Revolution on line and the laser light appears to be defective in that no light is visible, the thing is fully charged, four green lights showing, the USB dongle is recognised by the computer, but using the on/off switch on the underside no light appears when the switch is in the "on" position.

The mouse doesn't work >:(, I have installed the software for Mac from Logitech's web site and another utility the "LCC Connection Utility" which makes no difference.

I emailled the seller yesterday, but they have not replied yet. It would be helpful to know whether or not the thing is definitely defective.

Sorry, I'm a Microsoft mouse person - hopefully someone will be along soon, but you could try over on ThinkBroadband as well.

Have you tried http://forums.logitech.com/

I use a VX Revolution but I'm afraid that I can't help with your problem.

I use a Microsoft mouse which has an invisable laser (not a red one) so it appears to not be on and working even though it is. I wonder if this is how your mouse works (or doesn't for that matter!).

I have an older Logitech with the red laser but the newer ones like the one you have do have the invisible laser.  They also respond quickly to emails if you don't get joy from the retailer.

I have a MX700 laser mouse from Logitech and the laser is invisible so don't fear :-)
