Title: solved connection dropping
Post by: cosmicdance on Jul 24, 2006, 19:56:32
i had constant connection dropping problems on my 1st day and 2nd day at Idnet.
I know there is the training 10 day period with ADSL Max though.
Anyway I bought a router - Netgear DG 834 and the connection hasn't dropped once.

I've seen quite a few posts about the Speedtouch USB modem I was using not being great for Max, so this confirms it.

Thanks a lot to all who replied in the forums and Simon at tech Support.

Idnet is superb for customer support, service and value.  ;D

Hi Andy, welcome to IDNetters :)

Netgears are becoming well reknowned for keeping Max alive given that SNRs can drop to around zero. Good choice ;)
