Anybody here got a PS3? I just got one. Pretty impressed. Looking for some online players.
'fraid not.
could not justify the cost.
some friends keep tellling me to get a 360.
no money or time !
dont even play Wow anymore.
Have to agree with Kheldar. They are just too expensive, and I wouldn't have enough time to spend on it to warrant the purchase.
i only bought a ps2 when they was quite old and cheap and cos we needed a dvd player at the time so it did both jobs !

Ironically thats how we ended up with a PS3.!!
Needed a new dvd player for the lounge! Hehe. The misses fully endorsed it. So given the opportunity I wasnt going to let it pass me by.
I have recently purchased a PS3 but have never (yet) played online games with it.
ah Me too. Ive not ventured there yet.
What games do you like?
come visit ust at ZiiP. www.ziip.co.uk (http://www.ziip.co.uk) Good bunch of people. But Im looking for some ps3 friends :( as I dont have many yet.
Hi Scottyboy, I quite like first person shooters...though I have a heck of a job aiming with the thumb sticks :-\
The games I currently have for the PS3 are:
Resistance fall of man
Ghosy Recon Advanced Warfighter 2
Call of Duty 3
Oblivion
Formula One championship edition.
If any of these take your fancy, we'll have to arrange a time and try to join each other.
All the best
Bob
I know what you mean about the thumbsticks. I find fps are best on PC but I did like resisitance fall of man and manage to get used to it a bit. Thats certainly the only one Ive got that you have. Not played online yet so would be good to give it a whirl sometime with you.
;D
Hi I am new here. I have a PS3 and play only online. I am currently having difficulties with Pipex, my ISP, which is the reason for looking at this forum as I am considering changing to IDNet.
I have difficluty both logging in to and staying on the PS3 network, I think due to traffic shaping.
Can you recommend IDNet? I thought I may as well ask the people who play online.
If this post is in the wrong place I apologise.
Pozzi
Welcome to the forum Pozzi, have a welcome karma.
I'll go and find some links to other parts of the forum where we have been asked the same question...
Here's a link to a thread (http://www.idnetters.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=3893.0)
I have played PC online, yes ID net is highly recommended, no traffic shaping, I've recently transfered from pipex and the difference is unbeliveable.
Thanks that's exactly what I wanted to hear, I find Pipex so unhelpful. There's nothing worse than being midway through a twenty minute game and your connection drops.
welcome pozzi.
i play cs and tf2 online and dont have any issues with idnet.
my conn is pretty slow thanks to good old bt and my piece of string telephone line yet i can play online FPS no problem and still ping around 30-40.
