Post by: Den on Sep 01, 2007, 08:30:41
Morning all

Is anyone else having problems with emails this morning? I have 3 email address with idnet and the password (windows remembered) has been rejected on all three.

There is indeed a problem with IDNet.Com - the other two (Freemail and IDNet.co.uk) are working normally.

Same here, I got one come through at 04.31, that was the last one.

Not a real problem for me, 'cos I  don't use it much. :)

I think the email server needs a good talking too, and maybe a swift kick up the RAM

Hi everyone!

Yes, I have the same problem this morning. My password is being rejected each time I'm trying to get into my inbox. Fingers crossed, it is going to be solved my Monday.

Hi, and welcome to the forum. :)

I'm hoping the problem will be solved today, it just depends on what is wrong and when Simon checks his calls/mail.

If I hear any more, I'll post.

Are they giving it a severe thrashing for disturbing their weekend?

Tim did mention something about that, Glenn. :)
Title: UPDATE
Post by: Rik on Sep 01, 2007, 11:26:51
The POP server appears to be working again, but not the SMTP server, nor the webmail interface.

Why does the email status on the IDNet Networking Status page has and still say that everything is OK? I appreciate that solving the problem is the main priority but for anyone who doesn't use this forum but just checks the status page it could lead them to think that the problem is with their setup.

I understand, Noreen, but with no staff in at the weekend, it seems that the priority has gone to fixing the fault.

All we can do here and on TB is to publicise the status as we know it.

As of now, POP and SMTP are working for me, but the webmail interface is still down.

Title: FIXED

Simon tells me everything is back to normal, and I can confirm that's the case for me. If anyone has any outstanding issues, please post here and I'll round them up...

I didn't do anything, Den, honest. It's Simon, Tim and Martin that did all the hard work. But you're right - with support closed, the problem still got sorted in just a few hours and, afaik, no emails were lost. (Plusnet, are you listening!!). :)
