Is is me, or is it like wading through treacle here this afternoon? I'm getting up to a 30 second delay when posting messages. :-\
No, it's not just you - I was about to post the same question.
Anyone else? I'm registering 13-30 second delays.
Perhaps it's giving us a hint to go out and ... (http://pc-pals.com/smf/Smileys/Smileys/getalife.gif)

Get in the queue, Alf. :)
Getting faster now. ;D
Yes, better now. Must have been caught in a bottleneck. (http://pc-pals.com/pics/smileys/drink.gif)
>:( slow again ::)
I'm finding it slow too!
Rik, you better run the same things as before!
Seems OK now, but I'm the only one here. (http://www.pc-pals.com/smf/Smileys/Smileys/shhh.gif)
Seems OK this morning, anyone having a problem?
Seems ok to me too now.
Fine here too.
I must have kicked the tyres hard enough to scare it. :)
hmmm just looked at this thread and accoring to the note at the bottom of the page:
Page created in 3.292 seconds with 21 queries.
Which seems a long time to me. It also implies a server load issue rather than a bandwidth issue.
hth
Rob.
1.52 seconds with 21 queries for me, Rob.
" Page created in 1.236 seconds with 19 queries. "

Page created in 1.141 seconds with 19 queries.

I've asked Simon if there's anything he can do. That's the other Simon, of course. :)
You'll have to excuse my ignorance on this, but does IDNet share a server with anyone else (and do ISPs in general do this)?
IDNet provide hosting for a number of prestigious companies (http://www.idnet.net/clientlist.jsp) and us. :)
That does seem to be a ever-growing list!
Mmm, nice isn't it. :)
Well, maybe things are reaching a capacity? Oh God, I hope this isn't a bad sign! :eek3:
I don't think so, Simon checked the server when I contacted him earlier and all was OK. He was going to take a look at the logs for Monday and see if anything showed there. If it needs more hardware, I'm sure it will get it.

Mo :-X
Thanks, Mo. It seems that Monday was an isolated issue. :)
There are definite peaks and troughs, presumably according to the load on the server at the time.
