Title: Account deactivated - how long to reconnect?
Post by: Holdz on May 30, 2025, 21:03:08
My account was deactivated & my internet was cut off because I'd not updated my debit card info after my old one was lost.

I settled the outstanding bills via the customer portal several hours ago but my internet access has still not been restored.

Can you tell me how long will it be before it's back on pl?

I would've thought your systems would pick up my payment almost instantaneously & restore my service but this doesn't appear to be the case. I've rebooted my fibre box & router just in case that's what's required but it hasn't helped.

I have to add that despite it being my fault for not updating the payment details, I'm very surprised that IDnet didnt send me an email stating clearly in the subject that I was going to be disconnected if payment wasn't made. The only emails I received were the standard invoice ones which, I'm sure like many other people I don't check. I most certainly would've responded immediately if the subject was along the lines of 'Service Disconnection Notice'.

Hi there, and welcome to the forum.

I'm sorry to hear about your recent issues, but have to clarify that whilst the forum is here to offer technical advice to users, we are only customers, like yourself, and as such, we cannot assist with account / payment related matters, as we do not have access to customer accounts.

In this instance, I can only suggest that you make contact with IDNet direct, via the usual support channels:
