Title: Please report any forum problems you encounter here
Post by: zappaDPJ on Jun 15, 2024, 16:58:02
As posted elsewhere, we encountered multiple issues upgrading these forums. It's still a work in progress.

If you do encounter any problems or have questions about changes made to the way this forum functions, please leave a post in this thread.

The only problem I found was needing to log in again and also having to agree to new T&Cs..

Oh, I'd best go and find mine then. ;)

Just found the font size icon.

I struggled because it wouldn't accept my password yesterday but I got in no problem this morning.  The new software must be doing background checks.   ;D

I was mildly surprised at having to login and agree to the T&Cs again, but the only problem I had was remembering my password (I never log out), which I can hardly blame on the upgrade ;)

I think the T&Cs have been updated, hence everyone having to log in again.

This might be a good thread to ask a random forum question. I've noticed some people have 'liked' posts but can't find any way of doing that. Where's the secret menu option for this? Or is it actually a figment of my imagination?

There's nothing secret about it, you just click the Like button in someone's post. You won't see one in your own posts but you should see it in everyone else's.

What "Like" button?

Maybe it's somehow set for mods only?

Sorry folks!  I didn't realise it wasn't available to members.   :red:   Must have been when Zap set the new forum up.   ;D   Fixed now.

Quote from: Simon on Oct 05, 2025, 11:31:06SMust have been when Zap set the new forum up.   ;D

I was starting to wonder why I'm no longer popular :bawl:

'Likes' should have taken on the permissions already set for the old Karma system but something clearly went wrong. Apologies for that.
