I'm looking at buying myself a Domain with Hosting, both for alternative email addresses and to have a go at Wordpress, purely as a hobby. I know that I could get a Wordpress account/ domain for free, but fancy the idea of my own domain name and the options to have a go with Wordpress/Joomla etc. I'm not bothered about traffic limits as it's not for business, but would want the email to be reliable and not severely restricted by quota's.
I would have preferred a UK hosted account, but the 3 year deals currently on offer from the likes of Hostgator/Bluehost seem to be far better than anything that's decently rated in the UK.
Can anyone advise of any better options?

Went with Ecohosting in the end. Nice simple cheap package that'll suit my hobbiest (if there is such a word) interest.
And coincidently, looks like they are based not far away from me.
