Title: Problem sending with Mozilla Thunderbird.
Post by: Broadback on Jan 26, 2019, 13:31:03
I have had a failure of my PC, which though now repaired requires the software re-instating. I am doing quite well but am unable to send with Thunderbird.  I get the error:
login to server SMPT.outitgoes.com failed. The option to enter a new password does not work, I suspect the problem
is the password. So how can I change it please?

I suspect you may need to enable SMTP authentication:

Thanks Simon, I am afraid I could not do as you suggested as those options do not exist. However going into one of my mail boxes and selecting settings I went down to the bottom and created a completely new SMTP option, then set that as the SMPT for all my mail boxes, and it works. Great.  ;D Now I need to download Macrium, which when I try it fails, no doubt I will resolve that in time. Thanks again.
