Title: Local Area Connection
Post by: psp83 on Aug 16, 2007, 15:00:12
Hi all.

Well at work we have just moved into a new office with new coms etc. The new setup requires mods to the existing ""Local Area Connection" thats fine and i know what to do with the office computers.

but when it comes to my laptop, i dont want to mod the exiting ""Local Area Connection" as i need that for home use.. How do i setup a new ""Local Area Connection" on my laptop as i've forgot, been ages since i've messed around with networks and vpn's

Regards,
Paul

TBH, Paul, I've never needed to do this, so I haven't found out how to. I'll dig around and see what I can find, but meantime, could you do it by creating a new user account on the laptop?

Is there not an option to create new connection?

It may be that simple, Lance - I was trying to work out how I could test that idea, but didn't come up with an answer.

Yes there is an option to create a new one, but everytime i try, it doesnt make a "Local Area Connection 2" it just seems to mod the existing one.
