according to think broadbands news section, idnet have now launched gfast products, price seems high compared to what bt ,zen and uno are offering it at though:-
G.fast 160/30 service £49.80/m on a 12 month contract including voice line rental
G.fast 330/50 service £67.80/m on a 12 month contract including voice line rental
Zen:-
Unlimited Fibre 3 with line rental £52/m, with 160 Mbps download speeds and 30 Mbps upload.
Unlimited Fibre 4 with line rental £59.99/m with 330 Mbps download speeds and 44.8 Mbps upload
That is a bit of a difference and a bit steep tbh. :( Saying that I would not go for G.fast I just don't need the extra bandwidth and its just sweating copper for users closest to the cab. If FTTP came around that would be more interesting although I would not go for huge amounts of bandwidth once again. Getting rid of copper would be great though. Looking at the packages there seems to have been a price rise across the board.
