Title: Avast Secure Browser
Post by: dudwell on May 22, 2018, 10:37:39
Avast Free Antivirus keeps pestering me to install Avast Secure Browser. There doesn't appear to be an option to continue with Antivirus without the Browser.

I'm quite happy using Chrome and I need it to use Chromecast. Also on my Windows 7 laptop are Opera and of course Internet Explorer. I don't feel a need for another browser.

Comments welcome as always.

Yes Gary there's a lot of information there and also lots of comments. Much of it goes over my head but I'm left with a doubtful feeling. I'm a bit peeved at the way Avast seems to be foisting this on users. Maybe I'll uninstall Avast and switch to Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition which is favoured by some - unless someone convinces me otherwise!
