Title: POP3 Email Settings
Post by: sparky on Apr 20, 2018, 09:31:10
I have several idnet.com email addresses, created under my account.

For years I've been using pop3.idnet.com Port 110 with no problems for incoming mail.

I've just discovered on idnet's General Settings page https://www.idnet.net/support/guides/email/settings.php (https://www.idnet.net/support/guides/email/settings.php) it shows as POP3 securemail.idnet.com Port 110

Should I be changing my settings?

I think the 'securemail' settings add security when logging into your email accounts.  I guess it's always a good idea to be more secure if you can.

The secure version of POP3 is on port 995.

Well I've now set up my wifes email on her W10 laptop, the mail App picked up the secure mail settings of it's own accord.

Thanks.
