I'm sorry if this post is in the wrong section but I am at a loss as to where I should post it?
Just checked my email and have found a missive from IDNET asking for credit card details or my account will be closed at the end of March 2018.
The letter is basic, without any IDNET logo/identification, looks like a school child penned it and just looks weird.
Is it a con, like I suspect, or will my account be shutdown in March, as they hinted?
Sounds very much like a phishing scam to me. For peace of mind, you could forward it to support@idnet.com for confirmation.
I've had a few of those in the past. It is a scam but I would still forward it on as Simon said.
I have turned my spam settings to extreme on certain idnet accounts as some stuff was getting though that really should not have been.
It is not a scam and your account will not be closed at the end of March. It is just that we will be unable to charge your card after that date unless you either re-fresh your card details on our portal or enter your bank account details so that we can setup a Direct Debit.
Thanks
Simon
I've had at least two very similar sounding mails in the past which I've completely ignored.
