Title: Confused. Have BT changed some standards?!
Post by: Jimbo on Aug 12, 2007, 20:15:10
Evening all. :)

Really confused atm.  I'm waiting for the "legendary" 2700HGV router to arrive, and today my broadband has been quite bad.  This morning my download speed 16 KB/s.  Ok I thought, another 3 days to wait (as my sync speed was around 2.8MB).  However, just now my speed has dramatically increased!!  Now I'm up to 160 KB/s all of a sudden.

Basically, just a little confused... how has it suddenly increased so quickly?   The cheap-o Netgear router I'm using as a stop gap atm has re-sync'd quite a few times today so now way has the line been stable for 3+ days.

Have BT changed the amount of time you have to wait?  Or is it "ghosts in the machines"? Lol.

Cheers guys.  (Man this new Router can't come soon enough!)

:)

They certainly have changed things recently.

Aha!  So that explains it.... 4-6 hours.  :D

Shame it's dropped again. Lol.

Many Thanks for the link.

The good side is 4-6 hours, the bad side is that, for many people, changes will now take 5 days. Good old BT. :(
