Title: Just a little break...
Post by: Technical Ben on Mar 02, 2017, 11:53:24
From IDNet services. At least I hope. Just to get in on one or two deals else where, and I hope to be back with IDNet again next year.

But with some companies basically paying customers to join them, I thought I'd get in on a deal, especially as my usage pattern has changed (no longer game, use the mobile more etc).

However, there service and product is not the same, so as soon as the special deal wears off, IDNet are certainly competitive again. Hope they understand (tightening budgets and stuff for us all).

We still hope you will stay around Ben.  You will still have access to the forum.

Good luck. I know what you mean and I'd be interested to hear the result. Don't want to miss your humour too! As I'm stuck on 35Mbps profile, paying for 76 and never get above 30GB, the nigh on £20 premium is impossible to justify on the pension! The telecomms market is such a mess. Thanks Ofcom.

Thanks. I've passed on self employed work and even had it "lost" to friends when I was working for myself. So I understand how you can loose customers in good spirit. (I tell an old joke where I honestly think half my old customers don't know I left, as my friend who took on the cleaning work looks the same as me  ).

As you say, you get 35Mbps and wish to look for the price that reflects that. It's strange, I game and watch videos (don't use a TV just Youtube :P ) and still cannot justify the £10 increase that most special deals offer for the fibre upgrade.

I guess we have reached the "good enough" level of service. Now if only we could do the same with Windows 10.

Can't argue with that Ben.  Updates that prevent your computer accessing the internet?  What a joke!
