Title: Power cut boost
Post by: talos on Jan 11, 2016, 11:31:01
Here is a strange one
Had a power cut Sat morning , one of those very short ones, I went to check on my comp and internet connection, what a surprise, my download speed had doubled  ??? , checked with the BT speed tester and found my profile had also doubled  :D . It remained this way for about 10 mins and it seemed stable. Why then did it drop back ? Is BT deliberately throttling any connection which is not a BT customer? or am I getting paranoid  :dunno:

Crosstalk, if you remained up when everyone else was down, the crosstalk vanishes as does any real congestion. One it comes back on all those modems re connect and its back to the way it was.
