Title: Macafee Trojan found
Post by: Broadback on Jul 18, 2015, 13:52:55
McAfee keeps telling me that is has found a trojan. It gives its location in a file that \i cannot find, suggest I alter permissions and delete said trojan. But how can I do that if \i cannot even find the file?

Can't McAfee delete it for you?  If not, I'd suggest a scan with www.malwarebytes.org which probably will.

I have run Malwarebytes which found quite a number. I have deleted them, so will wait and see what McAfee says now.
Thanks

Might be an idea to keep Malwarebytes on board, BB, as it might prevent them getting in in the first place.  ;)

Having run that I have now had numerous problems and needed to System Restore. All because I downloaded a recommended backup program, I should have known better!  :red:
