I wanted a cheapish corded phone, as we had a power cut the other night and of course, none of my DECT phones worked, and my mobile signal at home is abysmal. I found a Siemens one on Amazon, which arrived today, but the supplied lead has what I think is an RJ11 connector on both ends, so no connector to a BT socket. Rather than go to the hassle of returning the phone, (although I know I really should), I'm wondering if a cheap adapter would work (a couple of quid), or is this likely to create havoc with my broadband?
Got an old ADSL microfilter not doing anything? Plug the phone lead in the ADSL socket...

Just make sure that the phone's connection passes through a filtered socket on its way back to the master socket. If you've got VDSL (eg. FTTC) OpenReach will have probably fitted a filter on the front of the master socket anyway.
