Title: Windows 8, a new annoying Popup

In the last couple of days I have been getting a popup headed "Information from computer26oct14(E:) with "Drive Tools" highlighted in green. Is windows trying to tell me something or is it rubbish, in which case how can I prevent it happening?

Sounds like malware or virus to me.

Can you provide a screenshot of the popup, providing it doesn't reveal any personal information?

It certainly sounds like malware but it's not something I've come across before. A screen shot would certainly help.

You might consider downloading Malwarebytes and running a scan.  If it finds anything it will remove it for you.
