Title: Apple's Financial Headache
Post by: zappaDPJ on Jan 28, 2015, 16:17:28
QuoteKing Midas, you may remember, had a problem with gold. Everything he touched turned to the yellow stuff.

Fine for a while, but not when he realised "everything" meant just that - everything.

He might have had some sympathy with Apple's problem of simply having too much money.

And the biggest quarterly profit in history, $18bn, is actually adding to Apple's biggest headache - an excess of cash.

In short the company is making money far faster than it can spend it.

Its cash pile now stands at close to $142bn (£93.5bn).

That must be so annoying ;D

Well, I'm bloody glad I dented their profits by buying an HTC now.    ::)

Interesting. Food companies try to get by on 3% margin at times... necessities and all that.
No problem with them getting the cash for the splash though, as it's nice gear. It's just rather interesting where our priorities are at times (poor milk farmers :( ).
