Title: Unable to send emails with my iPhone 5s
Post by: Noelle on Jan 13, 2015, 13:17:38
Hi,
I have an iPhone 5s and when I try to send email, I get a message like "idnet server unable to process your request" or something similar. I can only send emails when I'm at home or connected to a wifi.
Any idea what is wrong?
Thanks!

I suspect you either need to change from port 25 to port 587 on the outgoing server (smtp.idnet.net ) and/or supply a username/password for authentication See this thread here :- http://www.idnetters.co.uk/forums/index.php/topic,25227.msg599410.html#msg599410

I'm already on port 587 and with the proper settings. I check the link you sent. Mu husband has the exact same problem.

What is the user name and password? The one finishing by .gw5?

No, the user name is the email address.
