Title: Android 'Share' Preferences
Post by: Simon on Dec 04, 2014, 11:28:36
Anyone any idea how to reset the 'share' option for apps like BBC News?  I've managed to get the Share button to 'always' copy to clipboard, but sometimes I want other options, which are no longer available.

There are apps that will do this although I've never used any .ie Andmade share. Or go Settings > Apps. Top right corner - reset app preferences . This will reset all app preferences I believe so it's bit of a blunderbuss approach but I can confirm it's works as I've tried the same scenario. It also reset my home screen app as well, I suppose now I'll see what else I need to restore ;D

There's also an app called Defaultapp reset.

That's the trouble - I don't want to reset everything as I can't remember what other preferences I've set.

I'd look at defaultapp reset then from the play store, it seems to be app selective and well rated.

I installed Andmade Share, and the share options returned, then I uninstalled it again, and the share options are still there, so that must have reset them.  Thanks, Steve.  :thumb:
