What do you want it to do?

I'd suggest a Mac over any Windows all in one. Or if you must go Windows, go for a Laptop and leave it on the desk. I'm not sure if the build quality and usability has improved, but I've never come across a good all in one with the exception of the Mac (Or the BBC Micro if that counts ;) ). :)

It's an incredible spec Lona but so it should be at that price.  I have a 17.5" Asus laptop but it's nowhere near the build quality of Mrs Clive's 17.5" Dell.  Just sayin'.

That's more than I'd want to pay for a PC.

Overpriced.

My last custom built desktop cost me 750 quid and I can replace parts in it if I need/want to.

Try www.scan.co.uk

I think it has possibilities Lona it's compact , it's neat and tidy and comes with a 3 year warranty. I think price wise however it's getting into iMac territory though. Certainly is does away with the space requirements for a PC case and associated cables.

You can get a compact Acer PC (With keyboard, which I did not realise, so ended up with 2 sets LOL ) for as little as £250: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=sr_st_price-asc-rank?fst=as%3Aoff&keywords=acer+desktop&qid=1417551250&rh=n%3A340831031%2Cn%3A428651031%2Ck%3Aacer+desktop%2Cp_89%3AAcer%2Cp_n_feature_keywords_five_browse-bin%3A4888425031%2Cp_6%3AA3P5ROKL5A1OLE&sort=price-asc-rank

You just need to add a Monitor to it. :)

Steve is right that it is convenient. But for that price Apple is the only way to go. If Windows 8 is better for you though, something like this Lenovo is much more reasonably priced and specced for day to day use: http://www.johnlewis.com/lenovo-c470-all-in-one-desktop-pc-intel-core-i3-8gb-ram-1tb-21-5-/p1741064?colour=Black

It is not touch screen but does have the 3 year warranty.

I'd recommend avoiding HP as their build quality has vanished.

It's a lot more than a same-spec desktop would cost you, but only you can decide if that's a premium worth paying.

It's basically a large laptop component wise with a stand.

I just don't like laptops. I hate the keyboards and I like a large screen. Just can't make up my mind. ???

I was a refusenik too Lona and it took me a long time to part with my beloved desktops.  But now I wonder what kept me away from laptops all that time.  I would never go back!  One day I might even start using a tablet!  But not yet.   ;D

Why not buy a laptop and use it with your existing screen, mouse and keyboard. That way you have those elements when you want them, but also have the portability should you want it.

I've attached another elegant solution Lona might want to consider :out:
