... and that's just the TAX!?

Wow, interesting turn of events if they go through with it, or a similar proposal.
[edit]
Ah, it seems in Hungary they already have additional taxes for calls/texts.
QuoteHungary already has a tax on voice calls and text messages, capped at 700 forints (£1.78, €2.27) a month for individuals and 2,500 forints (£12.81, €16.26) for companies. ®
Strange they don't do so just on a "per line" bases. :dunno:
As it's in The Register, I'll believe it when I see it. :)
How about from the BBC? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-29783253

I get what you mean. I tend to take it as truthful evens, but massively blown out of proportion on the Reg.
But it does seem a strange tax. The thing is though, anything could be "taxed". :dunno:
Please don't give the government any more ideas on what they can tax us on! I can't read El Reg. It's written in an alien language. ;D

Like watching TV... or dying... ::)
If they could meter the air you breathe they'd tax that too.
Did it happen already?

Not surprised it happened first in Venezuela
I expect George Osborne will be on a fact finding mission if the Tories get in again next year, all expenses paid of course including this tax.
