Mine is definitely on the increase, not a real problem as Mozilla Thunderbird sorts any I have previously marked and put them in my junk folder. However more and more I am getting persistent b*uggers, from the same source, is there any way I can get these sorted before the enter my email boxes and get deleted? It is a pity we cannot automatically send them back to the originators, so , hopefully clogging up their system. I do not use Idnet's email service.
Does the email service you use have any filtering facilities? Alternatively, there are programs like Mail Washer which might help.
Mailwasher's not much good in my experience Simon. The best mail I've ever had is GMail which I've used as a backup mail service for 8 years and not received a single spam e-mail! On the other hand my btinternet address seems to attract spam like flies are attracted to cows**t. ::)
I've been using Mail Washer for about 10 years, and couldn't live without it now! That said, I'm still using the old version. ;)
Thanks for the tips. I have tried mail washer and am unable to get it to work, missing .dll files. I contacted them and all they can sy is that yes, it is an unresolved problem!
:sigh:
Why do they always make new versions and promptly ruin a good product? ::)
On the subject of junk email management I moved my mail hosting to a provider that implemented greylisting and this has virtually wiped out the type of mail advertising pills to enlarge parts of one's anatomy.
You do need to register your own domain to do this though.
