I have set up a customers CCTV on windows 8.1. The web site is www.J2kdvr.com and when you visit and put the password in it downloads software and then opens the cctv site. I can't reach the site on the iPad and it does not ask to download any software. Is this because on windows I am using IE and on the iPad I am using Safari?
More than likely. Apple won't let you download anything that's not from the App Store.
Apple are Prats and I hate them :shake:
Is there a way of loading IE on to a iPad?
No. ;D
So we can have Safari on a Windows machine but not IE on a Apple toy. ??? Why would you want Safari on anything?
One could say the same about Internet Explorer. ;)
Will your thing work with Firefox? I have strong doubts that this will work, but might be worth a look:

IE is not made for any other OS other than Windows and Safari is not now available for any other OS than iOS and OS X oh you cant have it on Windows either.

vra1974,
There is a way to view your cameras on the iPhone while using the jpeg2000 stand alone DVR. You need to add a video server/encoder to each of the cameras that you wish to view. If you use the video loop out for the channel you want to view and attach the loop out to this video encoder:

Then you can view the camera on the iPhone using safari or using CCTV Camera Pros FREE iphone app, the iCamViewer:

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I was going to ask if the company already provides an app? Most do. :)
