Hi every one...after some general advice.
I've been with IDNET for about 8 months and everything is fantastic ( was with orange before >:( ).
Anyway just wondering if anyone can help me with my line stats, i gerally get between 5800 and 6200 downstream but only 64 up, this has probably been like this scince I have been on MAX service. I have tried two different routers, my free BT voyager 240 seems to be more stable than a new Netgear DG834 which seem to drop my connection every day, they both seem to syn at the same speed, anyway I have included my line stats to see if anyone thinks I should be getting a better up link speed

You seem to have a problem, your u/s sync and noise margin are very low. Do you have an NTE5 master socket, the type where the bottom part of the face plate can be detached? If you do, remove the face plate and plug the router into the test socket which is revealed, see if the figures improve. If you don't have an NTE5, then plug into the master socket with everything else disconnected.
If the figures improve, there is a problem with your internal wiring or an attached device, if they don't it would suggest a line fault. Contact support and have them test the line.
Hi Rik,
Thanks for your reply.
I have tried plugging into the master socket with everything disconnected ( SKy box / Telphone ) seems to remain the same.
I don't seem to have a standard NTE5 box, it is the standard RJ11? type socket but is not BT branded and does not have a test socket inside.
One thing I have noticed is the my BT adsl router will syn up to adsl in just under 60 mins but the netgear can take upto 6 hours ( typially 2 - 3 hours )
Thanks in advance to every one

A router should sync in a few seconds, so this suggests that the router is struggling to negotiate the bundle of frequencies it needs to operate. I would suggest you contact support and get them to test the line. If you can, do a BT speed test first, as that will give you your profile to report.
