I wonder what the author smoked before writing that article :-)

I mean, £3.65 per year for desktop PC on standby. Really? Oven, £3.65 per year. Really? What do they cook? Can't even warm the dinner plates for that little :-) Oh, I see, they have the oven just on standby.

I reckon my desktop PC costs about £1 per day for overnight usage, i.e. £365 per year. Try watching your electricity meter before and after powering off your PC. It is quite alarming.
