Since I re-installed windows 8.1 I can not get BT Sport to run in IE11 but it opens fine in Firefox. Any thoughts?
Use Firefox ;D
;D
Assuming you are in Window's 8 desktop mode, it's probably an issue with Microsoft's Silverlight. I'd try deleting it and reinstalling it.
I agree Zap it sounds like a Sliver light issue.
While it's not the end of the world, it's a pain. I reinstalled Silverlight using Firefox and it still only works in there and not on either version if IE11.
The strange thing is that I can watch recorded items on BT Sport but not SS1, SS2 or EPSN.
Are you using Windows 8.0 or 8.1 and are you getting any error messages?
Windows 8.1.1 and no error messages just a spinning disk.
There was a compatibility issue with BT sport and Windows 8.1, I remember reading about it on one of my forums but everything I've searched for now says that has been fixed. I would have expected an error message really, I'm not sure what to suggest.
Check the silverlight add-on is being loaded when IE starts.
Thanks Lance, it is not loading when IE11 runs. :slap: Now how do I get it to load?
This is from answers.microsoft.com
Sorry I just forgot to write ;MS internet explorer 11 is definitely compatible with silverlight and there is no problem or bugs
To ensure that Silverlight is installed and enabled to run in Internet Explorer (8 and later):
Open Internet Explorer
Select Tools in the menu bar (or the gear icon in the top of the browser)
Select "Manage Add-ons"
Under "Add-on Types", select "Toolbars and Extensions"
Under "Show", select "All add-ons"
Browse down to the Microsoft Corporation section, and select "Microsoft Silverlight"
Verify or click the Enable button
Click the Close button.
Silverlight is a browser plug-in (also called an add-on or add-in). If Silverlight does not load or run properly in your browser (displaying either an error, a blank page, or a blank frame without the menu items in Navigator Web):
Verify that Silverlight is installed (see below)
Ensure that the Silverlight plug-in is enabled
In Internet Explorer 9, 10, or 11:
select Tools and un-check "ActiveX Filtering" (for more information see ActiveX Filtering) - or
click the gear icon , select Safety, and un-check "ActiveX Filtering";
select Tools or gear icon > Internet Options > Advanced tab > Un-check "Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering" (if this option, which depends on your computer's graphics hardware, is available)
Clear temporary Internet files (see instructions for your browser at "Fix Internet Browser Issues").
