Title: Can't send any emails
Post by: peasblossom on Apr 29, 2014, 10:12:43
Receiving emails is fine but suddenly I can't send any emails via Thunderbird. It's fine if I use my webmail account though. Port number is 110 (default) and all other settings are ok. Ideas? Thunderbird's error messages are pretty vague, I'm afraid.

Any error message might help more than none.   What's it's saying?  :)

Just 'login in to smtp server failed.' 'Verify that your smtp settings are correct', that type of thing.  But as it turns out I found this and post it for anyone else wrestling with the same problem:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cannot-send-messages

Deleting and re-entering the password sorted it.
