Thanks to all who gave advice, all done, no problems! :ty:
Rik, I'll look into the router thingy ;D in due course, at the moment am just happy all has gone so very smoothly. :)
Excellent news, Jillian! Welcome to IDNet!!!
Well done Jillian, nothing's happened here though. :( Were you on LLU previously?
Congratulations and welcome to happy land, Jillian. :)
No LLU here Noreen, 1hr from London but in many ways it's like being in the middle of wild Wales!
I had an email sent from IDNet at 0500hrs to say it was a done deed, lovely!
So very glad to be in Happyland, (as opposed to LaLaLand, which is a distinct possibility!) amongst a band of cheerful folk, long may it continue.
I'll drink to that, Jillian - have a karma to celebrate your landing. :)
Hi Jillian, so it's probably the fact that I'm migrating from LLU that's making the difference. Keep everything crossed for me that there are no problems with it. :)
edit: Just checked my email and found an email from IDNet timed at 9.15am saying that the migration has been completed! However I still appear to be using my f2s connection. ::) Anyway I'm now going to try to get my router connected to IDNet, if I'm not back I've made a mess of it.
Brilliant news Jillian, have a proper welcome;

Oh and a karma.. ;)
Yes, everything crossed for you Noreen.
Thanks for the lovely welcomes and the Karmas, how do I reciprocate with those?
If the pic works it's champagne all round!
Cheers!

Glug..glug.glug. ;D
Lovely drop of stuff Jillian, glad it all worked OK.
Now come on Noreen, get it sorted. ;)
Another welcome to Jillian from me. Hope you find it everything you expected, and more. ;D :banana2: :banana2: :beer1:
Hurrah! ;D Now connected to IDNet and it wasn't me that mucked it up. After putting the info into the router there was no connection. Had to get onto Support who had to get on to BT and I've just now found the connection up and running. Thanks Andrew.
Great news Noreen .. we was getting a bit worried about you.
Anyway a nice welcome to you, and have a karma, nice to have you on board.

BT did the same to me. :( Glad you're sorted and with us. Have a karmic welcome. :)
Thanks all, I'm really glad to be here. Especially after the name-calling that's developed on "the other forum", some threads are being locked over there now. Anyway who cares now. Karmas to you too. :)
Welcome to Idnet, Noreen and Jillian

Hi Jillian and welcome to IDNET it realy is that great. Just noticed a new trend >:D The lonely old men on this site seem to give karmas to new women members far more often than they do to new men members. So you had better have another ;D

Who said we're lonely?? ;D
Glad you've made it Noreen :), help yourself to a glass of bubbly, there's plenty for all!
Compared to "the other place" it is so peaceful here. :)
I've clicked a couple of Karma's too!

We're just lulling you into a false sense of security, Jillian. ;)
Welcome at last Noreen. Glad you made it to safer shores. ;D :hide: :ukflag: :beer1:

Hurrah -- that's my migration complete, too! And I've just done a speed test -- crikey it's fast:

OK, so only one datapoint so far, but that's already significantly greater throughput than I ever experienced with f2s...
Stuart.
Great news Stuart! Welcome to IDNet!
Welcome Stuart, from another ex-f2ser. ;D

Welcome to the forum and IDNet, Stuart, I'll be round to borrow some bandwidth. :)
Thanks again for the welcomes, folks! f2s have also just agreed to refund me for the last billing cycle, too, which is good of them: my payment date was yesterday, which was rather bad timing!
Wasn't it just. Still, it seems to have worked out for you - it's nice to have a happy ending. :)
Another welcome to Stuart man. Enjoy your time with us. ;D
And yet another welcome Stuart.
Have a welcome karma.

And a big welcome from me Stuart!! Right on time! ;D
Glad you are pleased. :banana2: :banana2:
Welcome Stuart, I'm ex-f2s also!
My connection is a bit faster, not a lot compared with yours, but I'm quite happy with it, 'tis better than before!
My router is on its second "training" day and I've just got this speed test, the download speed is roughly what I was getting previously on LLU so I'm well pleased. Hope it stays like this. ;D
edit: how do I get the attachment to be full size?
Don't worry Noreen, members can just click on it to make it larger. ;)
Thanks, Just wondered how other people are posting attachments that aren't thumbnails.
It might be that rather than posting attachements, they are linking to them within the body of the post. For example, they have a picture hosted on photobucket, which they link to via the [ img] tags.
Good thinking Lance, I had forgotten that, take a look at the Hobbies / Camera thread Noreen, there are lots of comments on there on how to do that. ;)
