Hi folk,
I'm on the Fibre Pro package with a stated 100GB download allowance. Am I correct in thinking that this (a) has no peak/off-peak distinction; and (b) applies only to downloads?
I ask because I've just been invoiced for supposed excess usage during November 2013, but according to IDNet's own online usage monitor (and which broadly agrees with my own record as well which I take from my router log), I only used 79.12GB. I have obviously enquired with support (waiting to hear back), but meanwhile I am trying to understand how this charge could have arisen?
Cheers,
Simon
Hi Simon,
I think you had a reply from one of us at support regarding this issue. I believe it was an error on the system where it had the old package details? I believe this was corrected for you.
To answer the question the Pro package has no peak/off peak split.
Kind regards

I'm not sure if this is the case, but maybe your accounting period with IDNet doesn't run exactly from the 1st of each month, so perhaps your own record may not be for quite the same period as theirs?
Yes, it was as SimonM said; they still had me registered on my old package for some reason, which did have a peak/off-peak split, so it was an error related to that. To be fair to IDNet, they resolved it very quickly without hassle and have already credited the account again, so provided the direct debit is for the correct amount when it goes through, I'll just call that an honest mistake and have no complaint about it. 8-)
A thread full of Simons! That's got to be a first!
