I know nothing much about Apple devices, but a friend is having trouble when transferring video files (.mov) and images from her iPad Mini to their Windows (Vista) PC...
When they appear on the PC, all the videos/pictures shot in "portrait" orientation seem to rotate by 90 degrees left and play/display in "landscape" mode on the PC.
Both types of file are fine when viewed on the iPad.
Could anyone suggest a solution, please?
Hmm... assuming she is using Windows Media Player, I would have thought there would have been a simple 'Rotate' button. But, I've also got some phone videos in Portrait mode, and I can't see a way to rotate them either. :dunno:
Simon...yes, she is playing the videos in WMP and no. there doesn't seem to be any way of rotating them back to "normal" orientation...I opened them also in VLC Media Player, they seemed to play in the correct position, but stuttered, pixellated and there was no sound...
This (http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-Video-Flip-and-Rotate.htm) works for .mov files, and is free, but beware - you'll download a suite of about 30 programmes!
Oh, that sounds really annoying!
Maybe I should just tell her to shoot videos and take photos holding her ipad in the "landscape" position every time?
