really its supposed to be a no advert search engine that's anonymous the thing is nothing is truly anonymous on the internet. The site is US based you have to drill down to make it UK based it has an option to save your settings one you have customised the site to 'the cloud'  Sometimes it says 'we would like to show you the search results but the site wont let us' when looking locally. It seems to be quite unique with its features tbh but google gives more results.
