Title: Notice to quit phone line
Post by: Ann on Jul 20, 2013, 16:06:39
Hi all

Does anyone know about giving notice to quit the phone line account?  I have ISP elsewhere but need now to move both ISP and phone line again together.  I need to give a month's notice but does it have to end on a certain day of the month or just one month from time of giving it?

I have a feeling nobody will know so will email them on Monday but still.

I believe it's a month from the giving notice date, Ann, and if that crosses over into another billing cycle, they refund you what's due pro-rata.  But, I could be wrong, so unless anyone comes up with something more definite, it might be best to check with them on Monday.

Thanks Simon.  I will check on Monday.  I'm terribly sad to go both from IDNet and BE, but BE have sold out to Sky and I can't bring myself to pay that company anything so go I must.  And it makes financial sense to bundle the line and internet together from now.

I've actually paid IDNet for a year so will leave it to them to work out the refund.

Ha!  After more investigation of the new deal I don't think I'm going to do it now.  Will have to look more.
