Title: Setting a static IP in the router.
Post by: psp83 on Jun 27, 2013, 10:28:21
Hey.

So I have the Billion 7800n router, I want to set a static IPv6 address.

Is it just the case of copying the IP addresses given on the status page to the WAN profile (after unchecking automatic) ?

With the 7800n you have to set the static IPv4 as well if you want a static IPv4.

Thats's what I did Paul, just copied the current IPv6 address and made it static. Regarding IPv4 it's static anyway with IDNet so I think but I maybe wrong that I left that on automatic.

I tried leaving the IPv4 as automatic but an alert popped up saying I must set the IPv4 address as well.
