Just started to notice that some websites are not resolving here - for example thinkbroadband.com and a client website. Other sites seem to be unaffected.
I checked the sites that are not working here on a non-IDNet network (that I can access no problem) and all the sites are loading fine.
Router is fine, hasn't disconnected etc...
Anyone else?
Edit - doing a tracert to the website that are down (to me) times out in IDNet's network.
Yep Im having this as well, I was in the middle of a game download when it happened  BBC website loads but some images are not, Facebook seems fine, cant reach Apple though.
American-hosted sites don't seem to resolve at all for me.
Yeah, me.
Odd- I can reach tbb for the BQMs- lots of solid red, which would indicate it can't reach me :dunno:
Can't reach the forums... no obvious rhyme or reason that I can see, except the sites I've tried outside the UK don't work.

I can get to some US hosted sites, but not others.
I have lost the BBC's rss feed but not IDNets :dunno: Sky catchup etc is not resolving either
Same here. Sites not loading or taking an age. Began about 5 mins ago. Past telehouse, get trace route time outs.

Hi All,
Looks like something outside of our network may have blipped. Everything appears ok within our network, it might be worth trying a reboot

A right pain... Folding@Home was about to upload a completed Work Unit with lots of lovely points, and now it can't >:(
Some sites have come back on their own, but not others... think I'll go shopping and see what's happened when I get back ;D

Its a sunny day I'll go enjoy it and see whats happened later :)
For anyone else interested, a reboot hasn't solved anything.
All it's done is lost me a half a meg off my sync. :slap:

I wondered if that would happen :( In in the middle of a new training period and really dont want to muck it up. I really wanted that game. :sigh:
Most of the websites I've tried to access in the last half an hour are not loading.....
I don't think a reboot would fix this. A traceroute to my rack in Maidenhead (just outside London) never gets past Telehouse:
1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms router [192.168.12.1]
2 18 ms 18 ms 18 ms telehouse-gw4-lo1.idnet.net [212.69.63.98]
3 telehouse-gw6-gi4-400.idnet.net [212.69.63.246] reports: Destination net unreachable.
Trace complete.
Some sites not loading, some are loading slow, but the ones that are loading, are loading faster than normal ;D
Most of the sites not loading for me are to do with my work I'm doing today, so I'm not really bothered with it being a nice day

Agreed, however I thought I would try it just so that we can say well, we've rebooted and it's done nothing. This issue looks like it is located in an onward transit link to me.
yeah getting the same as most people have said, I dont want to reboot either.

Mine are all starting to come back now :)
Hi all,
As Gary said it appears that things are returning to normal. I am able to resolve most of the domains on my test kit that I could not earlier. Not getting any dropped pack warnings either.
I would advise just to keep an eye on it for now as this looks to be mostly resolved. *ninja edit* I just confirmed with one of the guys on networks that an issue was identified with one of the peers and was fixed.
Kind regards

cant beat a Ninja edit for info. cheers Simon. :)
Typical- 5 minutes after I leave the house it all comes back up again!
Ah well, such is life... thanks for the update Simon.
I had some odd things occurring this afternoon but didn't think to check here :slap:
You don't usually even need to read any posts- just look at the bottom of the index page and see how many users are online :P
And there's me thinking it's because we are popular :'(
I'm still getting the odd timeout here and there. Perhaps it's time for a reboot!
All working ok here, I guess it could also be affected by what DNS service you use
