I'm finding this odd. I cannot download emails through Mozilla or any browsers. I cannot even get https://webmail.idnet.com/ to load on my PC. Nothing seems to work. Any ideas, I've had this problem for over a year now. :(
PS, works on the mobile through wifi.
No problem here loads fine, and I can log in with both IE10 and FF, what are you seeing when you go to the page? do you get the login page and are unable to login?
Can you try connecting to https://212.69.40.217
Just to add its working fine here as well. Have you flushed your DNS cache, also what DNS servers are you using?

IE comes up with a Certificate error for me on this one, Steve, and FF says it's untrusted and is using an invalid security certificate. :dunno:
It did for me too, but I risked it, and it does go to IDNet webmail.
I think that's the problem Ray, ignoring that or trusting connects you to the webmail site. I have 'Show IP' in FF to give me the IP address.
So, perhaps Ben has rejected the certificate at some point, and needs to restore it?

Does not work even when trying to "force" it (IE, telling it to ignore warnings and certs).
Pinging it works...
My hosts file is empty (as far as I can see), so it's not an accidental "immunization" of the hosts for hijacks by Malewarebytes or anything I guess. :dunno:
Remove/disable all addons then try it
Suggest a machine 'protection' issue to me if you can connect via mobile on your wiFi.

Ben, what OS is the PC using?
Windows 7. Happens in brand new browsers (so not plugins). I have used Malwarebytes in the past, so not sure if that changed anything.
https://encrypted.google.com/ works as a page. So does that mean it's not all https sites?
My assumption which may well be incorrect of course is that the certificate 'issue' has caused an problem in the past and the site is actively blocked by your machine, don't ask me how though.
Hmmm. It's figuring out how to unblock it. :(
A restore to a time when it worked, if they go back that far?
2 years!? No chance (for the hassle or the existence of said backup).
I'll have to look around for clues...
