Post by: Simon on Jan 03, 2013, 09:15:09
If anyone else is wondering why their Do Not Disturb feature has stopped working on their Apple device, here's why:

It is crazy that Apple keeps suffering from time related bugs. Fortunately I noticed my DND hadn't switched off but then again for me its not too much of a problem as calls aren't blocked on mine anyway.

It's not even as if that particular feature is date dependent, as all you do is set the times.

It must be date dependent if it corrects itself on the 7th January ;) I don't use that feature, bit like Siri for me. ;)

Maybe they ought to open source the development so these bugs get discovered and fixed as they seem to be occurring rather often.

Well, yes, what I was saying was that you can't schedule it by dates, only by time, and it's a straightforward on / off setting.  I actually find it quite useful for stopping bloody emails buzzing it overnight.

Siri is another matter...  Chocolate teapots spring to mind.
