Title: connected but not connected
Post by: kerbhugger on Dec 14, 2012, 19:46:07
Hi need help. :-(  try and keep it short.  Contacted idnet to increase package. Half an hour after sending email lost internet connection.  My idnet connection showing out of range although I'm sitting beside router. What I DO have is a full strong signal showing from my netgear router which will not give me internet access.  All lights on as should be and reset router half a dozen times.  Rang helpline twice going in circles.   Sad . Can anyone help a sad wee grandma?

Do you have any other devices that connect to the router, that you can get online with?  I assume you must be using a phone with 3G to post on here?

Which device and which operating system? Then we can tell you how to set up the DNS entry.

None of my devices, pooter laptop  ipad or phone connecting via wireless. Using very cr*p 3g signal to get online . Hadn't realised how deep my online addiction went.  Serious withdrawal here :0 (

Followed idnets installation setup to the letter.   Got full strong wireless signal just not speaking to idnet.

So with the above setup with the cable you still have no internet connection? What does the router status page say? I'm guessing you can see a sync but no connection, if this is the case double check that your idnet username and password are correct. If they are correct I think there's little else you can do until support open on Monday.

Do you happen to have another router you could try?  Other than that, I agree with Steve.

Just think its odd this happened when I asked to change my package.  Could it be something at idnets end?

It could be especially since there was possibly a similar issue affecting some users on Saturday.
