... for a tablet for £150 max? Would be used by 6-10 year olds, and needs to have wifi and be iPlayer / YouTube compatible.
:santa2: :out:
I was thinking Kindle Fire, but what I don't know is the current status of iPlayer on Android devices as I believe flash is no longer supported or certainly not being developed any more. Hopefully an Android user will be more up to date. Something must be in the pipeline though as iOS has had the non flash App for a while now.
Oh, I didn't know that, Steve. If they can't use iPlayer, the world might as well end.
What about the HP Touchpad?
Oh Glenn? ;D
You won't get a new Touchpad, maybe a Blackberry Playbook?

Android apps can run on the Playbook too http://goodereader.com/apps/playbook/playbook-android-apps/
The iPlayer app has recently been updated to not depend on Flash being built into Android devices. However, the update has not been seen as a particular success so far. The video feeds currently available are of lower quality than previously.
I couldn't even find the iPlayer App on the Amazon App store unless of course you have to a fire in your hands to see it! Ouch!
The BlackBerry looks OK, and a good price.
