You have probably gathered I am finally getting to grips with the Android platform on phone and tablet. One of the surprises was that Adobe no longer support the Android Flash Player and have removed it from Google Play. The consequence for me was that the BBC News Channel and BBC iPlayer did not play on my Android tablet out of the box. The BBC have put a media player on Google Play but the quality is not great. I felt I wanted Flash Player, perhaps for other sites. So I though it might be helpful to fellow learning-curvers to know the now unsupported Android Flash Player is still available in the Adobe Archive for various Android versions. http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html (http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html). This can be side-loaded from onboard storage by clicking on the .apk file in file manager, provided the Android device Security setting is set to load non-Market (non-Google-Play) apps. http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-manually-install-side-load-apps-on-your-android-device/ (http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-manually-install-side-load-apps-on-your-android-device/). Why does Google want to control my life and collect its minutiae?
Apologies to Mods for putting previous Android related posts in wrong place.

That's why I don't like Android, but in actual fact, I don't know if it's any worse than the way Apple want to control how you use their devices.

Can't see a problem myself. :)
