You probably have a better way, but here's mine, as I try to master my new Android devices.
I maintain all my contacts in Vista as integrated .contact files containining both phone and email details. Android devices seem to import/export multiple contacts from/to a single combined .vcf file. Vista can export .contact files but only to individual .vcf files to a directory of choice.
I recently discovered that the DOS command 'copy *.vcf nameofchoice.vcf' executed in that directory produces a single combined .vcf file for easy importation to Android devices. By manually copying 'all_contacts.vcf' into an Android device SD directory, contacts can then be imported by device commands.
So I can now maintain and backup a single contacts database on my PC and export it to Android without using proprietary software like Samsung Kies, or sharing with Google more of my life than they collect already.

I've just had to put everything back on my old phone as my newer ones died. However, half of it was already there. I now have 3 of everyones number. :slap:
Worse, the old phone does not have a select and delete, so I have 100 contacts to organize manually unless I can get the other phone running. :eyebrow:
